On August 16, 2023, co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the People's Government of Yunnan Province, the 7th China-South Asia Expo and the 27th China Kunming Import and Export Commodities Fair were successfully held at the Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center in Kunming, Yunnan Province. This year's CSA Expo and Kunming Import & Export Fair featured 15 pavilions, covering areas such as the host country, resource economy, border economy, park economy, digital economy, advanced manufacturing, Southeast Asia, South Asia, overseas, regional cooperation, cultural tourism, plateau modern agriculture, biomedicine and public health. The exhibition area reached 150,000 square meters.

This exhibition involved over 80 enterprises setting up their exhibition areas in six different halls, focused on border economy. The Shanghai area showcased accomplishments in intelligent manufacturing, artificial intelligence, technological innovation, and brand development, serving as a bridge for specialized, unique and innovative Shanghai-based companies to expand their domestic and international markets and facilitate synergistic development between Shanghai and Yunnan enterprises.
