Future prospects for “Rehabilitation and care market”
The market for rehabilitation in Germany has a market volume of around 9 billion euros (2017) in the field of pure medical rehabilitation and will continue to grow strongly. Around 1,200 rehabilitation facilities treat 1.9 to 2 million people a year.
With a growth of 128 percent since 2000, the market for nursing care in Germany is expected to achieve total sales of 54 billion euros this year and is the third largest segment in the German healthcare system after hospitals and outpatient medical care. The market will keep growing continuously and, according to forecasts, will reach a market volume of 65 to 85 billion euros in 2030.
